Naaaah. It's not racist. Offensive to people who spend too much for their
used cars, perhaps, but not racist. ;) On the other hand, maybe after
driving around in an A4 for a while, the fam. will get the idea to clean the
wrecks up out of the front yard and go all dapper on people's a$$ses.
AFAIK, one of the big benefits of Audifans, and the Quattro List from which
it was born, was so that people could enjoy these cars when they were very
depressed in value. That's why I've owned all the ones I've had, and I'm
proud to say that I only spent $1,500 on my beautiful '87, even less on my
more beautiful '86, and I've had both sitting on jackstands in the driveway
for a couple of days. Wanting a well made car that has a kind of spirit we
all appreciate isn't a sign of "cheapness" or any special lack of taste or
appreciation. Let's hope the guy joins Audifans and keeps it running, and
gets rid of the rest of the junkers he doesn't need anymore. Isn't that
what America's supposed to be about?

'87 5KCSTQ -- A very fine, absurdly inexpensive purchase
'86 5KCSTQ -- An even better, more inexpensive purchase
