cars on blocks, was rednecks & Audis

Some years back before I had an Audi (or three), I had a 1972 4.5 liter
300SEL MB. Came with steel wheels, and someone had a deal ($100 for all
4) on a set of OEM MB mags, so I bought them.

While I was playing musical tires, I had the car blocked up in the
driveway. An old girlfriend saw this and innocently said "You must live
in a really good neighborhood - the junk car on blocks in the driveway
is a MERCEDES!"
