Unfortunate incident in 02 S6 - need advice

Fortunately my 1986 5000 Quattro has no such problems, I have sprayed thin
oil inside the doors and underneath, behind door hinges, had the door panels
off and no rust to be found, had trunk panels off and no rust inside. This
car has spent its life in Toronto. Only system to get working is the cruise
control.
