FIRST of all, Jim, I feel terrible for you. To anyone on the QList who
doesn't know him, AUDIJIM is a wonderful person, both a gentleman and a
scholar, whose cars I've seen personally while picking up basically an
entire 5KQ drivetrain at what were absolutely bargain prices. He's a very
dedicated enthusiast and an extraordinarily nice person who certainly
doesn't deserve to get hit by a truck. ;)

I hope someone can give him some advice and counsel on this engine and help
him get it running. He's not a "shade-tree" mechanic: I've been to his
home and seen the kind of work and preparation he puts into everything he
does, and this must be a terrible disappointment for him.

So someone in the tri-state area (or elsewhere) please give him a hand
getting that beautiful car back on the road. He's more of an Audi
enthusiast and true expert than I will ever be, and this sounds to me like a
piece of bad luck.

Courage, Jim. And thank you again for the spares, I've already made use of
several of the parts you essentially GAVE me.

Let's see some experienced engine builders on the List give him a hand,
please?

One of which has a couple of parts that Jim very graciously sold me at an
incredible bargain price.
