hey..

i ran dunlop wintersport m2's [225 50 16s] on my a4, on stock
suspension last winter, and they were fine. on 16" borbets. in tahoe
all winter driving like colin macrae and no problems.

also, even tho it's a 2" difference in height, that's not to say that
there are 2 more inches of tire in the wheelwell since 1/2 of that is
on the opposite side of the rim. it's about an inch of increased
sidewall height, which is spread around the diameter of the tire [2"
taller overall].

wouldn't about an inch larger diameter be about a +1 size? i would be
surprised if it didn't fit. at least, if it were a good enuff deal i'd
probably roll the dice.
