No, not really.  +1 means the next *width* up, accompanied by a lower 
profile to keep the diameter the same.

But, that minor technicality aside, and the original poster already has 
heard and agreed with this, you don't want to go wider for snow tires. 
A little taller may be ok, but mainly you want to go "-1", that is, a 
narrower tire with the same height (assuming your load ratings are all 
still good).
