I have a miltimeter with me, but no manual.
 anyone know what the resistance values should be for the position switch should be?
i guess that "if i'm right" it's going to have a spot that is open circuit (i.e. crap on the resistor), but having the OE spec might be useful.

First of all, I found your conversion very funny; I almost spit my 
coffee out!  :D

Your prolly on to something with the Throttle Position switch, dig out 
your multimeter and ohm it out and see what you get.
