200 might be sick again, then again.....

Geraint,
Although it's not something you'd do while in the Honeymoon Capital, wiring
up a simple push button (only on when button is pressed, not locking on) to
trigger the code reading sequence is fairly easy to do. As long as the car
is idling (say, at a long light), push and release the button, which is
connected to the 2 terminals in the fuse slot in the top of the fuel pump
relay (hoping your car's codes are triggered this way), and watch der
blinkenlight. After the sequence is done, revving the engine past 2k rpm
stops the code flashes. Something like that could be done fairly stealthily
to maintain marital bliss - pushing a button is more innocuous than getting
out, opening the hood......etc etc. Check out the Butterfly Conservatory
while you're down there, it's pretty cool (cooler than the tourist traps on
Clifton Hill). Winery tours and Niagara-on-the-lake are pretty decent now
that the leaves have turned. Wave to me in Hamilton as you're driving back
over the Burlington Skyway bridge - I'll watch from my vantage point behind
the steel mills ;-)
Cheers!
