Had the same problem on the '88 90Q.  Turned out to be the wrong pressure
sender.  Previous owner had installed the incorrect pressure sender,
there was a red one in the car, where there should have been a white one.
 

The senders are cheap enough, I'd change it and see what happens. 
There's usually more than one sender, check the Bentley to see which is
