So, last night I finally pulled manifold, checked injectors, cold start
valve, inj seals, etc, etc... no leaking injectors, seals were all okay.
Went through electrical components again, (love checking perfectly good
parts twice!!
Seemed a little better this afternoon, so decided to take it for a drive!
Turned the radio off (sons car!) and drive a short distance... As I'm
driving a hear a vacuum leak inside the car... (No, propone fogged the whole
motor and any possible leak points, never did inside the car...
Turns out the brake booster is bad... Leak changes with pedal application.
Thinking the booster was bleeding completely down and upon startup the car
would run alright for a moment, but the vac demand and leak were too much
for the system.
Plausible? Seems to start and run fine with line pulled from booster and
plugged.
Eric
Of course I heard the howling rear wheel bearing which has to be replaced
prior to buyer taking ownership... ARGH!
