When I swapped out the pentosin system on my '90 200 and installed vacuum
brakes I had the same kind of problem. Leaking at the booster, come to
find out it is critical that there no leak between the booster and the
master cylinder. Fixed that leak and all is well.
In my case the booster wasn't bad.
