A Little Wonder

Kent,
The seller contacted me a while back, asking how much it was worth (common
question....answer: Whatever somebody will pay for it). The first run at
eBay in early November ended up around $4,500 with the reserve not met.
Looks like an interesting project for the adventurous - and not
cash-strapped - Audi fan. Parts are available through some sources in
Germany and eBay.de The most interesting part of the whole deal is that the
seller says that the car does run - that's a major step as many 2-strokes
that sit idle for extended periods end up seized ("ran when parked years
ago" ~ engine stuck solid now). There's been a couple interesting vehicles
on evilBay recently - last week there was a lot of 9 Deeks for sale, with
one being a very rare period fibreglass kit car based on a DKW 3=6 -
designed by Howard "Dutch" Darrin. The lot went for less than $1k.
Cheers!
