Which never existed, by the way.
Porsche piggy-backed on VW/Audi US distro for a time.
Ferd. Piech was head of Porsche R&D, then Audi, then VWAG
Ferd Porsche designed the Beetle for, well, never mind who.

But there never was an official tie in between the companies, until 
Piech, who's mother owns most of the Porsche voting control, began 
buying VW stock this year.
