B4 front speaker removal

my 98 has 1" tweeters and 4" mids in the doors. you have to take the
door panel off to get at the drivers. its not too hard, theres a
plastic trim piece by the door handle that pops off [might be a hidden
screw on the bottom] and there are 2 big screws behind that piece that
support the door grab.

from there it's unscrew all the edge screws around the door [5 or 6]
and then the big support screws at the handle. get a panel popping
tool [screwdriver handle with a flat 2 pronged scraper-ish deal] for
popping the plasitc fasteneres. there are 6 or 8 that hold the panel
to the door. gently but forcefully make your way around the door and
POP them out.

if it's dash speakers youre referring to your on your own, but theyre
typically gotten at from above - somehow the grill comes out and the
speeaker comes out from there. very handy tool is a right angle bit
driver attachment for a drill/driver. they occasionally need to be
removed from the bottom but not sure how. its worth a call to the
local car audio shop..
