Line input on Delta CC radio?

While I don't have the answer to your main question, I have a comment on 
the alternate solution route.  From what I remember seeing, even very 
cheap head units have tended to have auxiliary inputs, often on the 
front, for some time now.  So a cheap new unit (cd or cassette) might 
get you where you want to be.

Hmm, a quick eBay search shows many units under $100 that play 
cd's/mp3's and have front panel USB for mp3 input (I guess that's the de 
facto "standard" these days...).  I'm presuming that's for an iPod type 
device, not to simply store mp3's on the machine itself.

There are also those various line-input-to-cassette-mock-up or 
line-input-to-FM-feed devices, they were discussed on this list a year 
or two ago as to relative quality, if you can figure out how to search 
for the thread.  I imagine those would be easiest, since they leave your 
dashboard intact.
