driver's door will not open (unlocked)

OK, I got to mess with it and nothing, na-da

I tried pushing the door in while pulling on the lever, I tried putting
my shoulder into it from the inside, I tried pushing and pulling on the
door.

She is still shut. I also realized I can't remove the door panel with
the door shut. There are two screws in the jam.

I can not get the button to go down with the key nor by pushing on it.
Pulling the inside cable or outside lever seems to actuate the latch but
the door stays shut.

I am at a loss as to what to do. I have grey cloth Canadian door panels
too so that won't be easy to replace should I have tear into the door
from the inside. I don't think a locksmith can help as the door is
unlocked already.

I am going to get in the back seat with a flashlight and see if I can
see anything in the lock area from the inside.

Any ideas before I weld the other door shut and paint a confederate flag
on the roof?
