Have you checked the WasteGate diaphragm and
associated parts?

If the diaphragm has a tear, hole, etc. the vacuum
line that controls the WG can't do its job.  The ECU
will then shut the fuel supply off when you stomp on
the accelerator, especially under uphill runs.

BTDT.  Your description is pretty much on the mark.

You can check the operation of the flap with a
mity-vac.  If you can't pull a vacuum on the WG vacuum
port, your flap is toast.
