Looking at MC-1 for swap ....need advice.

No, I didn't...ran out of time...did it on my lunch
break and was late getting back as it was. I'll see
if I can get back out over the next few days to give
it a try...like you say...could be bad valve, carboned
valve etc not seating properly. Only bad thing is the
owner has been a di*k to deal with in some ways...one
of these guys who thinks the car is worth a million
bucks and he's doing me a favour. I would have told
him to pack off weeks ago but turbo engines are scarce
in these parts. (eastern Canada).
I called him the day the ad came out..I was on the
highway going out of town for the weekend and asked if
I could see the car when I got back..he said "No
problem, if I still have it...had several calls
already" Was total BS and he was asking too much for
the car, given the condition...he's come to realize
there is no market for the car and thinks he'll make a
fortune parting it out...anyway, I rambling...
