Im in hell - driver door wont open

Hi guys,

Car: 1991 Audi 90Qs 20V

I am about to tare my hair out! Today working on getting the door lock
fixed, got everything put back together - testing the door, everything works
great - about the 10th time I shut it, it wont open. Wont open from inside,
wont open from outside - plain stuck!!! Been messing with it for 3+ hours. I
remember reading a post not too long ago from a guy with a Coupe - tore my
interior apart around the column broke a bunch of it because there is no way
to take it off properly without the door open to find that the back of the
hinge is not accessible on the 4-door. Tried taking out the interior of the
door - cant - with the door shut, I cannot lift it up and a good chunk of it
is in the jam - wont come out. I am pulling my hair out right now!!

Please tell me that I am not the first one with this problem and there is a
way to get around it...
