Im in hell - driver door wont open

... have you tried locking and unlocking from the keylock and the manual 
button on the door?  Is the central locking system working?  If so, have you 
tried locking and unlocking via the central locking system?  I have no BTDT 
on your particular car, but I suspect that the problem is in the locking 
mechanism.  I had a situation where the car was locked and the mechanical 
unlocking ring on both front doors broke (not unusual for the V8s).  I ended 
up popping the trunk and pulling the pneumatic line for the trunk latch 
mechanism ... applying pressure to that line pushed the locks open and 
allowed me to get into the car.  I know it is a different scenario from what 
you have, but perhaps the pneumatic lock system is part of your issue too 
...
