As a last ditch option that all the thieves already know you can simply 
remove the door handle from the outside. Grab and pull. Hard. And if you 
happen to have a sturdy one you may need a rope tied arround it with extra 
help, but with a suprisingly little ammount of effort the back part of the 
handle that has the 2 screws in it will simply snap in half. Once the 
handles gone opening the door is a piece of cake.

Again, thats a last ditch effort and works best if you have a spare handle 
laying arround.
