Resolution of extreme lean condition at boost

Finally, the problem is fixed.   After checking all the other systems and finding no problems, including the fuel distributor (where I pulled the top off and checked that the needle valve wasn't sticking or restricted). 

I finally, in desperation, had an impression to swap out the computer with my spare MAC-11.  I was running on a SMJ chipped computer, and it almost seemed like it might be a mapping problem--almost as if the mapping got reversed, lean under boost instead of rich.   That was it.  Runs like a charm with the spare computer.
