Doesn't really sound like a practice that should be encouraged - if it 
becomes commonplace, coded radios become a bit pointless as a thief has an 
odds-on chance of pulling one with a code on the back!

Having said that, I'm just as guilty as anyone else - at least one of my 
previous cars had the number marked on the back...
