The point of the system is not to hide the code from people.  The  
whole point is to require people to get the code from someone who  
knows whether the radio is stolen or not.

Radio not stolen?  No problem.

Radio reported stolen?  Problem- for the tech, the dealership, and  
the guy that asked the tech to run the code(s), because the tech is  
going to roll on him in a heartbeat...

Report any stolen radio to your local PD, then fax/mail the police  
report to the manufacturer.
