I don't know zip about the procon arrangement but I can imagine
how a small movement at one end of a cable could produce a
larger movement down the line. One would be a pulley system,
i.e. block and tackle, operated in reverse where the high force,
small displacement end of the system is the 'input.' Another would
be a cable connected to the short end of a lever arm in whch a
large force applied to the short end via the cable could produce
a large, smaller force movement at the end of the long arm.
