Steve-
The nav in the Volvo is controlled by a set of switches on the side of the
steering column. Once you know where they are, it is workable by feel. You
don't have to use the remote- the remote is nice when you have a passenger
who can work the nav so you can concentrate on driving.

I don't blame you on the Pilot- decent design, very reliable, tons of space
and relatively inexpensive.

If you're looking at the MBZ, Pilot and XC70, I guess you can live with a
slushbox, so I'd put the Legacy Outback in there as well.
