It was better when it was a scroll wheel. THAT is how intuitive it should
be. It wasn't broken.

It's a system that takes driver's eyes off the road and on to a myriad of
screens and buttons. Some features use the climate knobs, some use MMI, some
the steering wheel. It's overkill and taking away from driving.
For companies (Audi, BMW, M-B, Porsche) that wouldn't put a friggin' cup
holder in their cars because it interfered with driving, the addition of
iDrive, Command, MMI, etc is purely laughable and infuriating.

Plenty of people are in iDrive-equipped 7-, 5- and 3-Series vehicles.
Doesn't make it a good system either.
