Instead of going through the hassles and expense of rebuilding your 
transmission, you might want to find a used one either here on the list 
or at a u-pull-it or similar.

There are plenty of these transmissions around, I'm willing to bet you 
can buy a good used one for what the bearings/seals/gaskets will cost to 
fix yours. Heck, I gave a 2wd 016 to Cody when he got my 5K parts stash.

Check/change the clutch while you're in there, and definitely change the 
clutch master cylinder, it will *never* be easier than with the tranny 
out. (Maybe the hose, too.)
