Paul,
Long time 20v lister Rick Houck just went through this. It is an absolute
PITA (caps added not only as an acronym!). It was thought that the only was
to do it was to drop the motor, or cut a hole in the driver's side wheel
well to get it out. Rick was able to move, bend, twist and turn a few
things to make it work, but by no means was it easy. As a 20v owner, you
should join the original list for these cars, at 20v.org. Tons of BTDT
experience there, myself included, with over 13 years of ownership of a 90
cq. The list can be found at 20v.org, or by going to rennlist.org (the
host) and clicking on the dropdown bar in the upper right and finding the
"emailing lists" link from there. It's relatively low traffic (4-6 posts
per day if that many) so it won't clog your inbox.

Good Luck with it in any case
