Howard has a 2004 A8, not an S8.
Driving into water is just stupid- if you don't check the depth before
trying to go through, you're going to risk ruining the car.
For the OP, you need to get the seats and carpet out of the car, dry
it out (including the felt matting underneath) and sanitize it so you don't
end up with mold and mildew, then after drying everything out, you need
to check the electrical systems.
If you've hydrolocked the engine, you might need an engine rebuild- it will
have to be inspected and possibly come out to know for certain.
