3M Marine Adhesive Sealant 5200

Did you thoroughly clean both mating surfaces and use quite a bit of 5200?
Its not something that can be applied in a small/thin layer and it needs a
clean grease free surface to bond too. I have NEVER heard of 5200 failing to
bond before. I have personally even used it to fix everything from a broken
door jamb or a leaking high pressure  hydraulic  hose.
