I think the syringe glue he's talking about is the 
methyl-marthacrolate based glue.  It is an awesome glue but won't 
bond to polyethylene.  It has little in common with epoxy although it 
is often marketed that way.  Devcon Plastic wweld is available at 
Walmsrt and I've used that stuff with great results in canoe and 
kayak outfitting applications.  bonding strength is said to be 
3,000#  Cost is less than $2.50 for about 500 cc's or so.  I don't 
trust their epozies, but the meth does stick when used and prepped 
correctly!!  Ace's stuff will cost a lot more too.
