The glue is labeled "Plastic Welding System", from ITW Performance 
Polymers and is sold under the Dev Con brand.  You're correct about the 
PMMA content of the glue.  The "stinky" part appears to be carbon tet.  
:-)  Haven't seen that chemical much these days.  Pretty nasty stuff, 
but it sure works.  I wonder if the carbon tet would help with bonding PE?
