This is why I try and purchase this stuff from a "local" business. The battery in my van died last Thursday. I jumped it, went home and checked my receipts and sure enough, it was under 2 years old by about 2 weeks. Drove the van back to the shop which is about 1 mile from my house and the guy had me pull it right in the garage. He checked the akternator - fine. Checked the battery - bad. No questions asked, he pulled it out and replaced it, under warranty. This is where I get my oil changes and other work done. For good reason.
On Audi warranties - took the A4 in for the 35k mile service last Wednesday, with a long-ish list of items to check, including peeling covering from the passenger's armrest and a brake fluid flush (which I expected to pay for). Was told the peeling probably would not be covered - they only covered that for 2 years. When I picked the car up, they told me they had ordered a new armrest and it would be covered, and had performed the brake flush at no charge! So, maybe they are geting a little better??
