"- Attached clear plastic tubing in place of upper radiator hose. Duct tape
it in place."
Replace the upper hose with clear plastic tubing (Home Depot) . .it can be
couple feet long- dont matter. Leave pressure cap off the coolant tank.
You can watch water circulation in the clear hose.
You will see no circulation at first - thermostat closed
Then circulation begins as engine warms up in a few minutes.
Very visible.
