S4 -> CQ AAN conversion

ok counterpoint time. $4500 seems really cheap to me. especially in the bay
area i would think 5 grand would get you a STOCK engine swap, let alone a
upgraded one, when all is said and done given 90-120/hr in labor. heck my 88
90 had a receipt the poor p.o. had for 4500$ worth of transmission rebuild.
some factors; is this a known / reputable shop? is this someone who's done
it before and has it down to a science? at last check 2bennett was charging
about 15grand for such a conversion without any upgrades or options. and
they are regarded as the local expert in this type of conversion.

it would be VERY fun and VERY cool but unless you were paying a VERY high
price to have it done meticulously and flawlessly you will spend a pile of $
and be handed back what could very likely still be a project car that noone
except the shop that built it would really be able or inclined to service.
at least if you DIY then you know all the ins and outs of it. that wouldn't
be so much fun.

other thoughts; it would be a TON of fun no doubt. and a real terror once it
was "finished" but whats the rest of the car like? suspension, brakes, etc?
i would have reservations about spending all that time and $ on the car and
then still having to deal with dodgy climate control systems, failing power
windows and intermittent seat heaters.

what i mean to say is "go for it!" - just be aware of what you're getting
yourself into. the devils in the details.
