axle problem

With that mileage you can suspect the CV's but unless the boots are
cracked/torn and you've spewed grease everywhere I'd doubt it for either
inner or outer. 

I would look at the lower control arm (ball joint) and the bushing there
at the frame. If you pull the wheel and get in there close with the
suspension fully extended chances are you'll see the bushing is pulled
away from the sleeve that the bolt goes thru and that IME is your noise
and vibration. 

Also when looking at vibration when was the last time the car was
aligned? If you take it to a competent shop (one that will suggest to
repair what really does need to be repaired) They should tell you that
while they can do the "alignment", without replacing "X" they will not
guarantee it. IME an out of alignment car will also generate your
vibration, but not the noise (but that just points back to the control
arm)
