Agreed. On my old '87 5000 I had a problem with premature battery drain. Check under your back seat, making sure that the springs and other metal parts of the seat don't touch the + or - contacts on the battery.

This is also a fire hazard, as you might guess. That was my problem, I created a battery cover and that was the fix. Hopefully your fix will be as easy. . .
