[s-cars] removing ashtray on '96 A6

Lee,

As I recall you have to remove the climate control surround piece to
provide access to the screws holding the ashtray in, and yes, the
mounting tabs are above the level of the ashtray.  The CC trim snaps
off.  However, you should be able to access everything by simply
removing the insert for the ashtray.  Just open it up and lift up on the
front edge of the black plastic tray.  If that doesn't do it for you,
then you can proceed with complete removal of the assembly.
