Yeah, they've always been exempt, but they still do the sniffer test
every other year.

Excellent news...although it doesn't make that much difference...my fleet
has been passing the sniffer test for over a decade with gutted kitties.
This is great, now all inspections will be similar to the 300TDT diesel,
the guy looks at it, asks me to honk the horn, takes his $29 and puts the
sticker on the windshield.

I doubt this very much...in this state they'd just charge more for the
emissions test. For those who don't know, MA only does emissions every
other year, one year just safety, next year emissions and safety.

They'll still sell the usual wipers, lights, tires etc. Most people take
their car to a known mechanic/garage when they get a rejection for
emissions or expensive items, you can drive around with a reject sticker
for 30 days.
