See thats the thing I'm talking about - some shafts don't have a  
dimple for the tool to rest on, they are completely hollow. They start  
off at the end with the walls being maybe 4mm thick and slowly taper  
down until the hole is only a few mm wide. I'd say that at the end its  
4mm thick, then 20mm inside the shaft the wall is double as thick, and  
it continues tapering at that rate. With the hollow shafts the threads  
of the bolt will hit the tapered portion and it's all downhill from  
there.
