A6 anti-lock brake light

Patient: '98 A6 2.8 30v Quattro.
 
Symptom: Amber & red anti-lock brake lights illuminate and  (sometimes) 
warning buzzer.
 
Checked: Hydraulic fluid good, sensors are seated & clean, grooved  axle ring 
is clean (no debris clogging slots)
 
What else would be a "usual suspect" to check and R&R?
FWIW; Car has 150k miles, and pads and rotors are in great shape and  brakes 
work fine. No panic stop done yet to check functionality of anti-lock  pump (I 
hate subjecting a car to that if I don't have to).
