I personally like the idea of Procon-Ten. I'm not sure, but in the
C3 re-design for 1989, I believe I read somewhere that a PC10
(okay, I'm lazy) car w/o airbag tested nearly as well (as in top
crash test rating) as the airbag car, showing the merits of the
system. Too bad the apparent costs of the system caused it
to be discontinued. It's like 90% the safety, without the pyrotechnics.
