***** I wanted the insurance company to fix my car also. But, you have to
admit that paying $10,000 to fix a car only worth $2000 doesnt make much
economic sense from the insurance company's point of view. The Insurance
company would not survive long making business decisions of that nature.

I argued your point with the insurance company. What they would do is have
me find my model car(s) in a licensed dealership(s). Then they would
approach the dealership and negotiate the price. Then they will offer me the
negotiated price, or the car. And $2000 is the Kelly Blue Book value for my
car in excellent condition.

So, I would end up with a car from a dealership that was worth $2000. With
no history.
I'd rather take the $1800 offered, and buy what I want - parts or otherwise.

I see you have my year car. I want your fender, bumper, and other sundry
items. Will you take $200.00 for your car? hehehe

SJ in NJ . . looking for parts
