Battery issue

It's my understanding that the primary benefit of a gel battery is vibration
resistance and safety in case of a puncture (no free flowing acidic fluid to
leak out).  you can safely mount them in unusual attitudes as well.
Secondarily, I understand they can be made to have a higher power density
(more CCA per size) and are more robust in high heat/cold environments.
That said, the voltaic reaction must be temperature dependant to some
degree, so no matter what, ANY battery is going to perform better in a more
"normal" temperature range.
