Been a while since I posted my dash lighting problem. The "Instrument
Lighting Booster Relay" is above the glovebox, nestled up against the inner
vertical surface if the dash fascia. It lifts upward. I removed this one
and one from a parts car, and the harness plug slid up and out along with
the relay, so it's easy to unplug and plug the relay, and it's not too bad
getting the socket back in the relay panel, either. You don't even have to
remove the cover above the glove box, just remove the screw(s?) and tilt the
front down. The relay is a double width unit, covered with small
ventilation holes, and has connectors only on one half. Major dollars new,
pretty cheap at the pick 'n pull. In this case, it appears the lugs were
slightly corroded, and a cleaning solved the problem. BTW, the Bentley is
really vague on this, and we looked all over behind the console and left
dash, even in the left footwell and side kick panel. Chris at Force 5 was
kind enough to tell me where it was, and I'm VERY thankful for the tip!

The heater problem, good heat at idle, NO heat at road speeds, was a busted
thermostat. Sometimes we overlook the fundamentals in search of
complicated, high tech, BS!

Thanks to the listers who offered help, even the ones who didn't think there
was such a thing as an instrument lighting booster relay! John
