Before I run out and get a new cold-start valve...

Hello all,

I'm looking for a sure-fire way to verify that the cold-start valve on my 84 4ksq is really shot. The car does start fine in warmer (above about 35F) temps....below that though and it'll take ten minutes to start (and my battery/cabling is fine.) I just don't want to replace it...and then discover that it's some other temperature-sensitive sub-system further up (or down) stream that's bad. Any BTDS's? Thanks.

Regards,
