I'm sure you'll enjoy that car.  The factory sport suspension is a great riding and great handling setup at the same time.  The tiptronic on the steering wheel is the best.  Our ex- 99.5 1.8T Avant had both and it's one reason we went for an 01 allroad when we had to go bigger, since they deleted the thumbshift in '03.  With a few turns of a scredriver you'll remove the engine covers to find plenty to work on though 8^)
