Wikitext isn't hard to learn, is VERY well documented (thanks to
Wikipedia), and you can work by example if need by by clicking on "view
source" or "edit" for any page ("edit" doesn't do anything until you click
the submit button.)

Also, above the edit text box is a toolbar with buttons that do various
common actions.
