Sunroof drains terminate in the front door jambs and at the rear wheelwell. Audi recommends use of the inner of a speedometer cable for probing from the drain outlets for blockages. I think the larger size weedwhip cord probably would be easier to find and less expensive. I'd go from the bottom too. Feeding the probe from the top might compact a plug.

I was looking for drains in all the wrong places.
I will not be surprised if the sunroof drains are clogged. The car has been
parked under a tree for a year and there were tree bits all over it. And
mom said the car didn't leak if you parked it with the nose downhill.
And it turns out the right rear taillight does fill with water and then
drains quickly, apparently into the trunk.
I thought the next step was to clean the paint and wax it, but I think now
it is clean the sunroof drains and fix the taillight.
Thanks for your help.
